Comedian and author Woodruff Dalmatio to speak at UWT Open House

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The President and Governors of the University of West Terrier are pleased to announce that Woodruff Dalmatio will speak at the University’s annual Open House on January 29, 2018.

Dalmatio, one of The Park’s first standup comedians, is the author of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Standing up for Comedy in the Modern Park. The book, which won the 2015 Chitter Radio Literary Award in the humour category, also became a film. Directed by Ludmilla Ptak and starring Dalmatio, the film won rave reviews after it premièred at the 2015 Park Interspecial Film Festival (PIFF).

Dalmatio’s theme will be “The Symbiotic Relationship Between Comedy and Higher Education.” He is expected, as well, to speak about the rôle and value of higher education in the entertainment business as a whole.

University to host conference on population control in April

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The President and Governors of the University of West Terrier are pleased to announce that it will host the upcoming joint conference on population control, “Population Control: The Park’s New Frontier.”

Members of the university’s School of Medicine, Faculty of Life Science, and Department of Human Studies will meet to discuss the need for and the effects of natural and artificial population control both inside and outside The Park.

The conference will take place on April 17, 2017.

UWT School of Architecture to host October forum on the effects of Human architecture on other Animals

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The President and Governors of the University of West Terrier are pleased to announce that the School of Architecture will host a forum in early October to discuss the effects of Human architecture on the lives of other Animals.

Participants in the forum will include faculty members of the UWT School of Architecture as well as faculty of the School of Medicine and the School of Economics and Social Science. In addition, community architects and professionals working in the fields of physical and mental health and well-being have been invited to share their knowledge and expertise. The forum chair will be Noreen, adjunct professor in the Department of Human Studies.

The forum will take place on the campus of the University of West Terrier on October 8 and 9, 2016.
